I love it. Looooooove! The colors, the lighting, the fur, everything. If you ever tell me again that you can't do traditional art, I have to beat you. To death. With my pencil. Seriously.
I like it when people interpret Tav their own way, and I surely don't mind the artistic freedom
I can't believe that you also did a background O_o. I love the stylized moon with the ornaments and the swirling. It matches Tav's design so well, everything is in curls <3. The whole artwook screams of classic fantasy and kitsch - like Rae says, I'm practically drooling over everything xD.
...The whole thing only has one, nasty side effect: I'm SO going to prod you about sending me snail mail, now

It was one of those spontanous ideas you get and have to draw. Guess I really picked the perfect timing to have this sudden urge to make you a gift.
And yeah, for some reason I had to think about the Okami ACEOs you made when I made the sketch, hence the curly tail.
The bg HAD to be added. It took me longer than the whole coloring though. I spent hours adding masking fluid to leave out the spaces of the ornaments. But I am pretty proud of how the moon turned out. All the hard work paid off. c:

I never worked with masking fluid and admittedly, I wouldn't know HOW to. Maybe I'll ask you about it one day :3.
That reminds me, did I ever give you my new address? I can't for the life of me remember if you sent me mail to here or if the last time was still when I lived in the rooming house x'D. DIN A4 letters cost 1,45€, I believe, but I haven't sent any in a while. In fact, I also haven't drawn in over a month. Artblock from hell. It's frustrating. And my kiriban-counter isn't exactly climbing up either. I was hoping to hit the 100k while still in 2012 :'D *personal goal*.
So yeah, you see there are quite a few things that stress and/or frustrate me atm, some silly, some serious, but THIS really helped and brightened up my day, just like you said
Jetzt kannst du auch noch traditionel zeichnen! XD Ich liebe es! Die Übergänge sind einmal richtig schön weich und an den Lichtstellen richtig angenehm hart. Du hast das super umgesetzt, ich mag den Übergang einfach total! XD Echt genial! Ich mein, schauuuu diiiiir das aaaaaahaaaaan!!! Ich finds super und Tav wird's ansabbern, so gehört sich dat ûu xDDDD

The smoothness and the colors are very nice!
I rather like the lighting on the front half (it gets a bit skimpy as it goes to the right); it is really bold and gives that nice warm feeling. The shading is well done too, especially on the muscles. Very good job <3
