It's the finally finished piece. A big thank you picture for two very great friends. ~gingerwuff and his mate. The black wolf is Gingerwolf and the blueish grey one is his mate Lykie, relaxing in a canope on a nice spring/sumemr afternoon.
I worked half of january on this. (had to redo it once completely). I literally put blood into this, since I cut myself with a brush and a knife while making it. :C It's slightly smaller then A3 I think. Done with White Night artists quality watercolor, Prismacolo and Polycromos Colored pencils, white cheap acrylic paint on Canson Arches 100% Cotton Watercolor paper.
I am pretty proud of it, especially the tree and foliage, also the fur details. The scan does the original picture no justice at all. SOme of the lighter details are getting lost. But I am so happy I can finally show you it. I hardly ever draw traditionally so this is an achievment for me. There are a lot of issues, but considering the fact I drew thinks I cannot even draw correctly digital, I did improve helluva lot. 8D

Beautiful job here, it must have taken FOREVER to get those details. (Even if your scanner ate most of them) the definition for the muscles are wonderful! (Although I am sort of wondering how two anthropomorphic wolves managed to get that high in a tree)
Overall it took me a 2-3 weeks (including the first failed attempt at the coloring it). I am pretty proud of the coloring myself. It turned out so much better then I could have hoped for.
( Thick branches, lots and lots of thick branches. I imagine they could have climbed them)

And I suppose that makes sense, I've seen footage of canids climbing trees to some extent.
